On our hillsides we have fields with thousands of these wildflowers and more.

It is so amazing to see the wonders of nature, just taking care of itself.

About Me

We live on a sustainable all natural working farm in West Virginia. We don't do too much of anything so we don't get tired of one thing. We live well yet use 90% less electrcity and water than an average home. The secrets is not to needlessly waste so much. We use solar for electricity, heating and baking. We catch, filter and save our rain water and use less than 5 gallons a day per person. We have almost no waste. Everything has another valuable use. We enjoy a 12x54 all year greenhouse that even surprised us with lots of luscious ripe tomatoes all winter entertained by solar powered fountains. We raise free range chickens, do efficient dyhydrating and food storage, have radiant heated floors, and use no water needed toilets. We have almost no garbage. We use self help health equipment and practices and don't want or need health insurance. We have thousands of flowers in bloom, over 200 different iris, and over 200 different beautiful dahlias. We love the peace and quiet of living on a farm and the opportunity to live free.
